Remember when….

Remember when we found this end table at DI?  Well it has gone from this…

to this brown….

and now to this black…and it resides in Layton now.

Johnny Closet

DSCN4366
This johnny closet was an oak color and the lady wanted it done in black.  We found a matte crayon black and painted it.  She is going to put different knobs on the doors when she gets it installed.  I think it turned out pretty cool.

Brown Desk

SOLD!!!!!
This desk has a new home in Brigham City.
DSCN4362
This desk sold the day we brought it home.  It was a well used desk and needed much repair work on it.  After getting all the repairs done on it, Dick painted it a chocolate brown then we glazed it in black.  This is going to be a “man desk” at it’s new home.
The couple that bought this desk had found two night stands that they wanted him to refinish.  They were done in the same color and black glazing.  There were detail markings on the stands and the glazing just really brought them out.  To bad they picked them up before I got the pictures of them.

Sand Bench

We found an adorable head/foot board and made this bench.  It turned out soooo cute and right now it is sitting in my bedroom making a cozy place to watch tv.

The Mr. built the box and seat and put the bench together.  He primed it in chocolate brown and put the tape where he wanted the distressing to show (pretty clever idea he came up with).

Next step was to paint the bench in a sand color.  He then remove the tape so the chocolate would show through at the desired spots.
